Federal Computer Week article features FAZD Center's statistical models
The FAZD Center's research and products are featured in a recent issue of Federal Computer week in an story package in by staff writer Alan Jochs.
The story package is headlined "Homeland Security’s high-tech gamble: DHS’ low-profile 'skunk works' seeks game-changing technologies to thwart tomorrow’s terrorists." Jochs devoted an article within the package to the FAZD Center entitled, "Sobering Food for Thought."
The article focuses on the FAZD Center's development of statistical models for potential U.S. outbreaks of foot and mouth disease, avian influenza and Rift Valley fever. Jochs wrote the article following an extensive interview with the FAZD Center's director, Dr. Neville P. Clarke.
