An introduction to four new handbooks and an online course by Dr. Floron C. Faries, Jr., principal investigator
National "Train the Trainers" Curriculum
The best way to stop or slow the spread of a highly contagious livestock disease is to detect it and report it early. Unfortunately, there's a shortage of early responders who are trained to recognize and respond to these diseases.

The FAZD Center is answering this need with a national curriculum to train these early responders.

In this presentation, Dr. Buddy Faries explains the need for a national "train the trainers" program in potentially catastrophic animal diseases, and introduces the components of the FAZD Center's curriculum:

  • Foreign Animal and Zoonotic Diseases Handbook | PDF
  • Quick Facts About Foreign and Endemic Animal Diseases | Book | PDF
  • General Biosecurity for Livestock and Poultry Producers | Book | PDF
  • Foreign and Emerging Animal Diseases Handbook | Book
  • Online course in Foreign and Emerging Animal Diseases
