An introduction to four new handbooks and an online course by Dr. Floron C. Faries, Jr., principal investigator

The best way to stop or slow the spread of a highly contagious livestock disease is to detect it and report it early. Unfortunately, there's a shortage of early responders who are trained to recognize and respond to these diseases.
The FAZD Center is answering this need with a national curriculum to train these early responders.
In this presentation, Dr. Buddy Faries explains the need for a national "train the trainers" program in potentially catastrophic animal diseases, and introduces the components of the FAZD Center's curriculum:
- Foreign Animal and Zoonotic Diseases Handbook | PDF
- Quick Facts About Foreign and Endemic Animal Diseases | Book | PDF
- General Biosecurity for Livestock and Poultry Producers | Book | PDF
- Foreign and Emerging Animal Diseases Handbook | Book
- Online course in Foreign and Emerging Animal Diseases
