Dr. Bruce McCarl,
Texas A&M University, Regents Professor of Agricultural Economics
and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Agricultural Economics
Association. Research focus is on the economics of strategies directed
toward Biosecurity event prevention, detection, response and recovery.

Dr. Tim Carpenter,
Professor of Epidemiology, University of California, Davis and
Co-Director of the Center for Animal Disease Modeling and Surveillance
(CADMS) His main field is epidemiology with an emphasis on problem
solving. Research interests are foot and mouth disease modeling,
temporal and spatial cluster statistics, and risk assessment of disease
importation and eradication.
